Driver sought after SUV smashes into cars, trucks overnight in south St. Louis
ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) – Several cars were smashed by a hit-and-run driver early Wednesday morning in south St. Louis.
According to police, a black SUV hit one vehicle which started a chain reaction at the intersection of Iowa and Chippewa just before 1 a.m. When police responded to the scene they found five vehicles with damaged hoods and bumpers. Police say a pickup truck was knocked out of its parking spot and began rolling down a hill after being hit.
Police say the driver of the SUV got out and fled from the scene following the accident.
