FRANKLIN COUNTY, Mo. (KMOV)—Investigators have charged a suspected drunk driver after her passenger was killed in a one-vehicle accident Sunday afternoon in Franklin County.

Autum Smith, 25, was charged with involuntary manslaughter, second-degree assault and DUI.

Police said Smith was driving southbound on Highway 185 just north of Little Boone Creek around 4 p.m. when she lost control of her car and hit a tree.

Smith was traveling with two passengers, Christopher Harrah, 26, and his son, 5-year-old Christopher Harrah Jr.

Smith was airlifted to an area hospital with serious injuries. Police say the older Harrah,  who was not wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced dead at the scene. His son was wearing a seat belt and was taken to the hospital with moderate injuries.

No other vehicles were involved in this wreck.

This is not Smith's first time being accused of driving drunk. She was charged with DWI and sentenced to two years probation after being pulled over in July, 2010.
