Convicted felon accused of hiding several guns in downtown apartment

(KMOV) – A convicted felon faces charges after police say several guns were found hidden inside a downtown St. Louis apartment on Wednesday.

Chartez Perkins, 24 was charged with several counts of unlawful possession of a firearm, a Class C felony.

Police say officer were executing a search warrant at Perkins’ downtown apartment when they found seven different guns hidden in various places throughout the home.

Officers also found individually packed baggies of suspected narcotics and other suspected prescription pills.

In Dec. 2011, Perkins was convicted of unlawful possession of a firearm, resisting arrest and possession of a controlled substance, all felonies.
