(KMOV.com) -- A death row inmate died behind bars while serving time for two murders.
In 1981, Elroy Preston took off his clothes to prevent blood stains then stabbed a man and woman to death after a night of drinking and a fight over fried chicken.
Preston then dipped the fried chicken in his victims’ blood and ate it.
In 2002 a court ruled Preston would never be executed.
An autopsy will determine cause of death, but the Department of Corrections does not suspect foul play in Preston’s death.
