ST. LOUIS—A convicted killer from northeast Missouri is facing a new charge of rape after DNA linked him to a crime committed two decades ago.
Derrick Cobb, 54, of Bowling Green, was charged with forcible rape and sodomy.
Authorities say Cobb struck a woman in the head with a beer bottle in St. Louis in 1992, then raped her.
The crime went unsolved until a recent DNA match connected Cobb to the crime. He has already served 17 years of a 30-year prison sentence for second-degree murder for killing a St. Louis County man, also in 1992.
