ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) – A Creve Coeur woman has been charged for trying to cash an income tax refund check payable to a deceased person on October 30.

Patrina Rochelle Taylor, 44, attempted to deposit $7,497 into her personal account with a fake ID of the deceased person, according to IRS officials.

Taylor claimed the deceased person was waiting in the car outside the bank, but security footage showed no one inside her vehicle at the time.

She was taken into custody shortly after leaving the bank.
