(KMOV.com) -- Authorities in south St. Louis are searching for a man they say stabbed a woman with a butcher knife and smacked two other women with a folding chair.

According to police, the suspect allegedly went into the kitchen of a home in the 3600 block of South Compton, grabbed a butcher knife and began stabbing the female victim in the neck, arms and legs.

The victim’s two daughters attempted to break up the fight, but the suspect then hit them with a chair, police said.

Two of the three women were hospitalized. Their conditions are unknown.

Police said this was a domestic incident and they do not have the suspect in custody.
