(KMOV)-- Nine teens were arrested after allegedly assaulting two men in south St. Louis.

As police were investigating this incident, they discovered that the suspects had also assaulted a 42-year-old man in the 7400 block of Virginia. The victim refused treatment for cuts and bruises. The assaults on both victims were unprovoked. Both victims have no relationship to each other.

The suspects were arrested and 6 of the suspects were turned over to the custody of Juvenile authorities since they are under 17 years old.

Authorities said 19-year-old Wesley Williams, 17-year-old Rickey Robinson, and 17-year-old Anthony Chatman were charged with 2 counts of 3rd Degree Assault.

Police received a call for multiple males kicking and punching a male around 11:20 a.m. Friday at the corner of Michigan and Nagel. Police responded to the area and saw no victim but did see a large group of people, later determined to include some of the suspects. The 82-year-old victim was located at a residence in the 7100 block of Michigan. He was taken to a hospital with cuts and bruises.
