(KMOV) – Five male students have been arrested in connection with the vandalism at Eureka High School.

Police say all of the suspects, ages 16 and 17, admitted their involvement.

The school is determining the extent of the damage and as a result no formal charges have been filed, according to police. The identity of the students is being withheld.

Authorities said the suspects spray painted an awning at the high school’s welcome center and two signs near the front of the school. Police said they examined school grounds even further and found that a sign, a door, a trash can, and fire hydrant had also been painted. Authorities said glass had also been broken

According to police, the school’s baseball field, Russo Field, had been damaged. Restrooms near the field and a concrete retaining wall had been spray painted with graffiti.
