(KMOV) -- A 30-year-old man will spend the next seven years in jail for drugs and endangering the welfare of several children.

Police say Keith Waln of DeSoto, Mo. was sentenced for possession of meth and trafficking drugs at a home where three young children were living.

Waln has prior convictions for drugs and prosecutors in Jefferson County say he could be released early if he successfully completes a treatment program.

Waln is now being held in the Farmington Correctional Center.
