ST. PETERS, Mo. (KMOV) – Police arrested three Florida men who allegedly used cloned credit cards to purchase thousands of dollars worth of goods at Mid Rivers Mall in St. Peters.

Sandy Alvarez, 29 and Eduardo Aguilar, 38, were charged with felony receiving stolen property. Yunior Rodriguez, 31, was charged with felony fraudulent use of a credit or debit device.

Police said on September 14 J.C. Penny security became suspicious when one of the men had five credit cards declined.

They found the suspects in Victoria’s Secret, where Rodriguez tried making a $922 purchase with a cloned credit card that belonged to a person who lived in Los Angeles.

Police said Rodriguez ran into the Sears restroom, where he attempted to flush multiple ID cards, credit cards and hotel keys down the toilet.

Police eventually caught the men at the Rodeway Inn and Suites in Fenton, where they found multiple fake credit cards and IDs.

Authorities investigated and determined the suspects had bought several items with the cloned cards, including diamond rings and earrings worth up to $2,300.

All three men remain in custody on a $25,000 bond.
