WRIGHT CITY, Mo (KMOV.com) – Two people have been charged after officers surrounded a home during an hour-long standoff in Wright City on Wednesday.
William Held, 38, was charged with manufacturing and distribution of a controlled substance and Erin Dorlaque, 28, faces a charge of possession of a controlled substance.
Police said officers went to a home in the 50 block of Appaloosa Way to arrest Held for outstanding warrants related to methamphetamine production.
The suspect refused to come to the door, so police responded by setting up a perimeter around the house.
According to police, authorities raided the house two weeks ago, but Held was not there. Police were tipped off by residents that he was in the house on Wednesday.
Authorities believed Held had a number of weapons, and though he did not fire or display any guns , officers treated the situation with extreme caution.
Held surrendered peacefully just after 4:30 pm.
He and Dorlaque, his live-in girlfriend, were both taken into custody.
Held’s bond was set at $25,000 while Dorlaque was given a $10,000 bond.
