(KMOV.com) – Police arrested two men while investigating the death of an East Alton woman whose body was found in a U-Haul van in Roxana on Saturday.

Police say Jeremy Lorain was arrested Tuesday for failure to register as a sex offender, retail theft and two counts of battery. Robert Stoces was arrested Wednesday after he allegedly violated his parole for manufacturing methamphetamine.

South Roxana Police say they have submitted evidence and toxicology reports to the Illinois State Police Crime Lab and are awaiting test results before presenting the case to the Madison County States Attorneys office.

Frances Ragen, 42, was found dead outside of a Dollar General Store in the 400 block of Broadway Avenue in South Roxana on Saturday.

An employee of the Dollar General discovered Ragen slumped over the wheel of the van in the parking lot and called police.

Ragen’s preliminary autopsy report did not find any trauma related to her death.

Authorities have not said whether Lorain or Stoces were suspects in the case. Police say the investigation is open and ongoing.
