ST. LOUIS (AP) — A veteran St. Louis police sergeant has been sentenced to nearly five year in prison for seizing marijuana, then working with his brother to sell the drug.
A federal judge sentenced 46-year-old Larry Davis on Monday. He pleaded guilty in April to drug conspiracy charges. His brother, 43-year-old Linus Davis, pleaded guilty was previously sentenced to one year and one day in prison.
Larry Davis was a supervisory sergeant for a unit responsible for drug investigations. He resigned from the force following his indictment in January.
Larry Davis admitted that between October 2010 and January, he seized packages from delivery businesses while working as a police officer, then sold the marijuana in those packages.
The brothers agreed to forfeit two vehicles and cash. The amount was not disclosed.
