ST. LOUIS (AP) -- A St. Louis attorney faces sentencing in April after admitting to defrauding clients of up to $120,000.
Stephen Evans pleaded guilty Tuesday to federal mail and wire fraud charges.
Federal prosecutors say Evans represented people in lawsuits and was to receive a certain percentage of any settlement. Checks would typically be mailed to Evans. But on several occasions, Evans kept funds intended for his clients.
