(KMOV.com) -- If you use the popular 'Neti Pots' to clean your sinuses, News 4 has a scary warning for you.
Two people in Louisiana have died after using the popular nasal irrigation tool. The Neti Pot has been linked to brain-eating amoebas.
The 'Neti Pot' itself is not harmful. It's the water that people use. Users are urged to use distilled, sterile or previously boiled water to make up the irrigation solution. Under no circumstance should the user use straight tap water.
It is also important to rinse the Neti-Pot after each use and leave it open to air dry.
