(KMOV) – Jurors in the Chris Coleman murder trial heard from the accused killer as they watched an interview with Coleman that was recorded by police just four hours after Coleman’s wife and children were found strangled.
Those jurors also heard from a nationally known pathologist who says Coleman’s family was murdered by 3 a.m., which is important because security cameras show Coleman leaving his house at 5:30 that morning.
Coleman’s defense argues that the pathologist’s evidence is not scientific, and a true time of death can’t be determined.
A Waterloo resident present in the courtroom gave News 4 her impression of Tuesday’s testimony, saying: “I thought the Dr. was excellent. You understood every word he said. You knew what he was talking about,” says Beverly Hirstein, court observer. “As far as the video with Coleman…I didn't feel sorry for him.”
