ST. LOUIS (KMOV) – At least 100 high-paying jobs could soon come to the St. Louis area due to a local computer systems integration firm looking to expand.

Revenues at World Wide Technology hit $3 billion last years. It is one of the largest minority-owned companies in the country, and it added 300 jobs last year, bringing its workforce to 1,700.

Expanding the company would create a sizeable number of IT jobs. On average, those jobs will pay $100,000 a year.

County Executive Charlie Dooley released a statement that in part read: “The expansion project holds the promise of 100 new jobs over the next three years. In real numbers, that will pump $10 million in payroll into our local economy.”

On Tuesday, the St. Louis County Economic Council will ask the county council to approve the incentive package that WWT is seeking for its expansion.
