More information on beef recall

(KMOV) -- Before you fire up the grill this Memorial Day weekend there is a nationwide beef recall you should know about.

Valley Meats is recalling 96,000 pounds of frozen ground beef products.

The company is based in Coal Valley, Ill.

The products are being recalled because they may be tainted with E. coli bacteria.

A seven-year-old Cleveland girl died Sunday from an E. coli infection that could be linked to the beef.

Illnesses have also been reported in Pennsylvania and Illinois.
