Police ID knife-wielding man killed after being shot by police at Overland park
This December 12, 2011 screen grab shows the scene of a shooting at a park in Overland. Police say they received a call for a man with a large hunting knife at Norman Myers Park. When police arrived, an altercation ensued, and an officer reportedly shot the suspect. He later died from his injuries. The officer is on administrative leave.
