Metro East soldier dies in Iraq

(KMOV)- The Department of Defense announced that 22-year-old Pfc. Jamel A. Bryant, of Belleville, died Sept. 27 in Baghdad, Iraq.
He died of injuries sustained in a vehicle accident on patrol.
He was assigned to the 40th Engineer Battalion, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division, Baumholder, Germany.
The incident is under investigation.
