Person struck by vehicle in south St. Louis

ST. LOUIS (KMOV) -- A 20-year-old man was hit by a vehicle Saturday night in south St. Louis, police said.
Police said the man was jogging near Carondolet Park when he was struck by a silver Volvo.
The 24-year-old driver told police the man ran in front of his car as he was turning onto Loughborough Avenue from Grand Avenue.
Investigators with the St. Louis Police Department’s accident reconstruction team were called to the scene around 7 p.m.
The injured man was taken to a St. Louis hospital in critical condition, police said.
