Obama opens new St. Louis area campaign offices
02:40 PM CDT on Thursday, July 31, 2008
(KMOV) -- The Barack Obama Campaign for President is about to have an increased presence in the St. Louis area.
On Thursday, Obama's Missouri Campaign for Change will open two new metro locations.
One will be in Midtown St. Louis and the other in Des Peres. A third office will open today in Kansas City.
The openings come just after the campaign opened 24 officers in rural parts of Missouri over the weekend.
There will be at least one local elected official at each of today's openings along with campaign staff members and supporters.
The events are open to the public.
On Wednesday, Democratic candidate Barack Obama made several campaign stops in Missouri including Springfield, Rolla and Union. His Republican opponent, John McCain, attended a private fundraiser last night in Kansas City.
