Suspect leads police on high speed chase across bi-state

F.B.I. searching for Ferguson bank robber
(KMOV) -- A suspected bank robber is in custody and a 14-year-old is back home after a high-speed chase across the St. Louis area.
It began around 2:15 p.m. after a police officer noticed a vehicle believed to involved in a bank robbery last week. The vehicle was on eastbound I-70 at Earth City.
Jason Beasley, 28, allegedly robbed a National City Bank on West Florissant and Hudson in Ferguson, MO.
When police tried to pull the driver over, the suspect drove off and led police all the way across the Poplar Street Bridge.
Several police departments were involved in this chase as it made its way through several cities.
Illinois State Police got involved with the chase as the SUV made its way over the Mississippi River and down I-64.
A police car rammed the suspect's car into a concrete barrier, and the vehicle lost a tire.
The suspect was making his way back toward St. Louis when the chase ended in East St. Louis near the Martin Luther King Bridge.
The driver got out of the vehicle and fled police, but was caught quickly.
The 14-year-old passenger calmly surrendered to police.
The long chase ending without a serious crash or injury.
According to police this chase reached speeds up to 100 miles per hour.
