Local woman organizing group baby shower for military moms
09:06 AM CDT on Wednesday, May 30, 2007
(KMOV) -- A Clayton mother is spearheading an effort to help military families.
Operation Baby Shower is the brainchild of LeAnn Morrissey.
50 companies from more than 20 states have contributed supplies for young military mothers and mothers-to-be.
The items have been sent to Fort Bragg, North Carolina where 17 military mothers will have a shower this Sunday.
Morrissey says response has been strong.
You can still donate, even if you don’t think your supplies will get there in time for the shower this Sunday, LeAnn hopes this shower may be the first of many others.
