ST. LOUIS (KMOV) -- One person was fatally shot Friday night in the Central West End neighborhood, police said.

Police responded to the 4900 block of West Pine Avenue shortly before 7 p.m. They engaged in a brief standoff with the alleged shooter, who was taken into custody without incident.

No one else was injured, police said.
