ST. JOHN, Mo. (AP) -- A St. Louis County woman is being held on $200,000 bond in the July 4 suffocation death of her 2-month-old son.

St. John's police said they responded early Saturday to a call about a child having trouble breathing. Authorities arrived at the house to find the 30-year-old mother distraught and the father trying to revive the infant.
The baby, whose name has not been released, died a short time later at a hospital.
Assistant St. John Police Chief J.R. Morris said the mother admitted putting a pacifier in the crying baby's mouth and wrapping a blanket around his head.
Police said three other children in the home have been placed with relatives.
