Dow Chemical plant announce plans to cut-back

(KMOV)- Employees at the Dow chemical plant in Pevely are waiting to find out if their jobs are safe.
The Dow chemical company announced plans to cut-back to the tune of 5,000 full time jobs and 6,000 contract jobs world-wide.
The company hasn't said which plants would be affected, but the local plant's manager said he's optimistic the Missouri plant will be spared.
The plant manager said their plant has kept costs low and maintained a good safety record.
The Dow chemical company expects to finalize their cutbacks next quarter.
