Will Smith in St. Louis for movie premiere

ST. LOUIS (AP) -- Actor Will Smith attended a premiere of his new movie "Seven Pounds" in St. Louis, where he donated 300 turkeys for the needy.
The public also was encouraged to donate canned goods for a local food bank.
The event Wednesday at the AMC Creve Coeur 12, was a benefit for the St. Louis Area Foodbank and the Urban League in partnership with the St. Louis Rams. Rams defensive end Chris Long and defensive tackle La'Roi Glover also attended.

The first 200 people who brought a nonperishable food item beginning at 4 p.m. received a pass to view the film. Red carpet arrivals were at 5:30 p.m.
Smith plays Ben Thomas in the film, an IRS agent with a secret who sets out on a journey of redemption. Similar premieres are being held in other cities before the movie opens nationwide Dec. 19.
