Smash-and-grab burglars hit St. Louis County stores

(KMOV) -- Police are investigating a series of smash-and-grab burglaries that happened early Wednesday morning throughout north St. Louis County.

There are at least three reported smash-and-grabs that police are looking into.

According to police, the smash-and-grab thieves hit the Rent-A-Center in the 7100 block of Page in Pagedale around 4:00 a.m.

The thieves apparently made their way into the store by smashing a glass door and using a crobar to pry open what was left of that door.

Police say that surveillance video shows three suspects removing five flat screen TV's from the store and putting them into a white Dodge pickup truck.

A black Pontiac Trans Am is also seen in the video.

The Exquisite clothing store in the 6700 block of Natural Bridge was the next target. No word yet on exactly what the crooks got away with at that location.

Then around 6:00 a.m., the burglars hit the City Gear clothing store in the 8000 block of West Florissant in Jennings.

They got away with money and merchandise. Police say the crooks took off in a black Pontiac.

No official word yet what the crooks got away with, but police believe flat screen TV's were once again the target of this burglaries.

Police have not officially said whether or not these cases are connected.
