Boil order in Grafton creates frustrations in community

(KMOV) - A boil order in one local community keeps dragging on now for 20 days.
Frustration's are growing over the length of repairs to a City well.

Grafton, Illinois restaurants hope this boil order does not hurt the start of the busy tourist season.
Tourists flock to Grafton's Historic River City community during the spring and summer.
This coming weekend they will find friendly businesses going to great lengths to overcome a 3-week boil order.
Restaurant owners are forced to haul in their ice, and serving meals on Chinette instead of China.
They are forced to use bottled water and canned soda.
The long boil order is doubling some costs of doing business.
One of the city's two water wells tested positive for bacteria after routine maintenance.
Crews are installing a pipe to bypass the suspected problem.
In the meantime resourceful business owners are staying open.
The repair work is slow and labor intensive.
It's expected to be 5-to-7 days before the boil order can be lifted and life gets back to normal in Grafton.
