St. Charles County (KMOV) – Police have charged an estranged husband after the body of his wife was found in a field of water.

Police said Jill Larose, 30, was found by a farmer in a body of water near Highway 79 and Dalbow June 24th. Her car was found 15 miles away in Frontier Park in St. Charles.

Aaron Larose, 33, who was initially described as person of interest in the case, was taken into custody Tuesday evening after being questioned earlier in the investigation.

There was no immediate word on what new details were developed that lead to his arrest.

Larose was a mother of three. The family said a trust fund has been set up for the couple's three children and contributions can be made to the Jill Larose Memorial Fund at any Regions Bank.
