St. Charles County (KMOV) - The St. Charles County prosecutor is promising to re-examine whether there's a way to file charges over the suicide of a teenage girl.

Megan Meier
Her parents say she killed herself after being harassed by adult neighbors on the Myspace website.
Tina and Ron Meier say last October, they found their 13-year-old daughter, Megan after she hanged herself.
Megan’s mother tells News 4 that she had an online relationship with a boy named “Josh Evans,” and that she was happy that a boy liked her.
The 13-year-old had a very low self esteem, and was elated when Josh Evans came into her life.
According to her mother, things suddenly went sour however when Josh began sending very "mean" messages.
Megan told her mother that she felt everyone was against her, and then went up to her room.
Her parents a little later went upstairs to investigate because their daughter was so quiet, and found the teen had hung herself in the closet.
One month later Megan’s parents found out that Josh Evans did not actually exist, and that Megan’s friend’s mother admitted to the “cyberspace bullying.”
Apparently after Megan had a falling out with her friend, the mother Laurie Drew signed up on Myspace as Josh Evans.
The Drew’s live right down the street from the Meiers, and declined to comment to News 4.
Megan’s parents say that Laurie Drew knew that Megan suffered from deep depression.
St. Charles County Prosecutor Jack Banas is taking a hard look at this case.
“Cyberspace bullying” is not illegal, but Megan’s parents are pushing for that to change.
