(KMOV) -- News 4 has received dozens of e-mails concerning a debit card scam.

The common thread in all of these reported scams is Hancock Fabric Store where all of the victims shopped.

News 4 uncovered this story earlier this week and gave an update Thursday night at 10 and since then we have received new e-mails from potential victims who say they were scammed as well.

Hancock Fabrics has several locations in the St. Louis area.

Theft cases are being investigated in O'Fallon, Chesterfield, Richmond Heights, Des Peres, Town and Country, St. Charles, St. Peters and St. Louis.

Customers who shopped at the fabric store say they had their debit card numbers and pin numbers stolen.

Investigators believe the old credit card readers at the stores may have been capturing account and pin numbers.

News 4 talked to two victims who had a combined $3,000 dollars taken from their accounts.

News 4 has placed calls to Hancock Fabrics store and yet to hear back from them.

Maryland Heights police and other law enforcement agencies will meet on Monday at 10:00 a.m. to discuss this problem.
