(KMOV)- A chain reaction accident on westbound I-64 near Clarkson left one woman dead on Wednesday afternoon.
The accident happened just after 4 p.m. Wednesday when police and first responders were called to the scene of a four-vehicle accident blocking lanes of I-64.
The chain reaction accident started when a 25-year-old male driver allegedly hit the back of the car driven by 48-year-old Laura Dunn, causing her to lose control. She traveled into the path of the oncoming Freightliner driven by a 57-year-old male, who then pushed Dunn into the path of the fourth vehicle driven by a 41-year-old female.
Dunn’s car came to a stop in a ditch off the roadway.
She was pronounced dead at the scene. No other injuries were reported in this accident.
Police continue to investigate.
