(KMOV) – A student walking from De Soto High School around 2:45 p.m. on Thursday was struck by a vehicle just a few blocks away from the school, De Soto police said.
The accident happened near the intersection of Amvets Drive and Concord Street.
The child was taken to an area hospital. Officials do not believe the injuries are life threatening.
The motorist involved did stop at the scene.
