The KMOV Web Slice is a mini-web page that sits in the favorites bar at the top of your web browser. Download the KMOV Web Slice to get the very latest headlines and weather forecasts in a small, convenient drop-down window on your screen, without ever leaving the website you are viewing. If you have Internet Explorer 8:
• Click here for download
• When the pop-up box appears, click Add to Favorites Bar
• Your KMOV Web Slice should appear on your favorites bar
If you have Firefox:
WebChunks is the Mozilla Firefox version on Web Slice and is an add-on. It allows you to see part of the web page through a dedicated feed bookmarked in a new tool bar at the top. Note that it will only work for Firefox Version 3. To download:
• Click here for download
• Click "Continue to Download"
• Allow Firefox to restart
• Look for the circle-within-a-circle icon at the top tool bar!
Getting started:
Look for the KMOV Web Slice in the favorites bar at the top of your screen. Click on the button to open the tool. The first thing you’ll see is the top headline from News, Sports, and Entertainment, along with a little blip about the weather. Along the top right of the Web Slice is a series of icons:
• Home (house icon): Shows the top story for News, Sports and Entertainment.
• News (newspaper icon): Clicking this icon will bring up the top Local news headlines, but users can choose to look at the top headlines from National, Crime, Politics and Off Beat.
• Sports (trophy icon): Brings up the top sports stories. Users can narrow the type of sports by choosing Football, Baseball, Hockey, High School or Mizzou.
• Entertainment (mask icon): Shows the top Entertainment stories.
• Weather (cloudy sky icon): Clicking the Weather icon brings up the Today forecast. Users can also choose to view 7Day forecast, Current temps, Metro Radar, Regional Radar, Watch/Warn radar, SkyCam East and SkyCam West.
• Video (film strip icon): Shows the latest videos from News 4 and Great Day St. Louis.
• Feedback (4 icon): Clicking on the Feedback icon will take you to KMOV.com’s contact page.
