(KMOV)-- Have you noticed that just about no one is complaining about the flu these days?
News 4 checked with a local infectious disease expert, who confirms the seasonal flu has just about disappeared from the radar.
One possible reason: the H1N1 scare last fall encouraged more people to get the seasonal flu vaccine. The H1N1 numbers are dropping off dramatically as well.
Dr. Dennis O'Connor said, “There may be another wave of H1N1, but there's no sign of it yet. And if we don't see anything over the next 4 - 6 weeks, I'd be surprised if we have another outbreak of h1n1 this season."
Dr. O'Connor still recommends getting both vaccines, because flu season typically doesn't end before spring.
