Cottleville Fire Protection District
(KMOV) – The Cottleville Fire District says they need a 27-cent tax increase on the April 3rd ballot in order to pay for a fourth firefighter to meet standards.
Cottleville firefighters say a normal fire truck is supposed to have four firemen, a standard, to fight fires safely. Cottleville can only afford three at this time.
The fire district says by having one less firefighter, they are making their jobs extremely dangerous.
News 4 will have more information tonight at six and ten.
