When I was a little girl, I thought their was nothing more special or fun than “Breakfast for Supper!”  It was such a delightful treat!  Now you can have just as much fun as at an adult at our “Slumber Party” themed Supper Club!

Send out your invitations requesting guests wear their PJ’s.  How can you not have fun at a party in pajamas!   Guests arrive to the music from what else, “The Breakfast Club”!  To get the party started, have guests step up to the Bloody Mary Bar with all the fixin’s.  Or have them sip on my Sweet Sunset or Party Mimosa’s.  They will soon be ready for their “breakfast”, but remember it is supper, so you will want to have a main staple, like steak or salmon.  Here are some other ideas:

Breakfast for Supper:

Fresh Fruit with Orange Cream Dipping Sauce

Assorted Cheeses and Baguettes

Mini Sausage and Egg Frittata’s

Southern Biscuits and Sausage Gravy

Smoked Salmon with Avocado Goat Cheese Sauce and Crostini’s

Southwest Steak and Egg Burrito Bar

*Breakfast Sundae’s – Baked French Toast with Cream Cheese Filling and Praline Topping
I picked up some Old Fashioned Ice Cream Sundae Glasses at Goodwill for .50cents!

Table Décor Ideas:

I usually start with black linens as my base for the table.  Especially if it is an evening event.  I wanted the table to be bright and cheery, yet a classy setting.  This is after all a dinner party!  I found a fabulous, yellow print fabric on sale for $5.39/yd at Hobby Lobby and used it as the table runner (no sewing required!).  While there, I also bought some blue chevron scrapbook paper that was also on sale for .35 cents a sheet that is used for the place mat.  Since it’s a breakfast theme, I have saved my egg shells and cartons and filled the eggs with fresh flowers.  I also filled a favorite blue bowl that I had at home with lily’s and hydrangea’s.  Just remember to keep any arrangements low so that you can visit with your guests!  And of course candles are a must to provide that certain element of mood lighting.

Guests Placecards/Favors:

There are several items you can use for party favors that could also double as your place cards.  You could make mini pumpkin nut loaves or perhaps some blueberry butter and label with their name and place in front of their setting.  Or you could add an orange to the bottom of a cellophane bag and top with a mini bottle of champagne for a little “make-you-own-mimosa” morning fun!

Cocktail Recipes:

Sweet Sunset Cocktail:
1 oz Orange Juice
1 oz Pineapple Juice
1 oz Club Soda
2 oz Vodka

Add all ingredients to cocktail shaker, shake and pour over ice.  Garnish with Orange Slice and fresh herbs.

*Note:  This is easily made into a delicious non-alcoholic mock-tail by omitting the vodka!

Slumber Party Mimosa:

1 oz Orange Juice
1 oz Pineapple Juice
Champagne

Add juice to flute and top with champagne.  Garnish with fresh Pineapple or Orange Slice.
