Virginia Kerr is the newest member of the Great Day St Louis team. Virginia started at Channel 4 in 2003 as the morning feature reporter… and LOVED it! She did everything from rappelling down high rise buildings to getting on a bull (won’t do that again) to driving the monster truck Bigfoot over a couple sedans (she’d do that again in a heartbeat)! She anchored News 4 Awake for the last four years – she loved that, too, but she didn’t love getting up in the morning at 1:15am. Now that she has a son, she’s happy to have “normal” hours and to get back out in the community to find the best places and people in St. Louis.
Virginia is from Birmingham, AL. She went to school at the University of Alabama (Roll Tide!) and started her television news career in college as a teleprompter operator. From there, she went on to anchor the news in Missoula, MT and Spokane, WA before coming to Channel 4.
Virginia is a city girl who married a laid back, country boy. The new mom lives out in the country now with her family and she wouldn’t change it for the world. Virginia likes making changes to their home and she has found a new hobby in experimenting with do-it-yourself projects. Virginia wants to share the easy, moneysaving ideas that she finds. She also wants you to send her some of your ideas so she can feature them on the show. Virginia is all about finding inexpensive ways to help you decorate your home and revamp your wardrobe.
Did we also mention she is a HUGE Cardinals fan? Go Birds!
