Carol A. Daniel is first and foremost a mother and wife. She and her husband Patrick are celebrating 16 years of marriage.  And they are the proud and exhausted parents of two sons.

Carol is also co-host of the award-winning lifestyle television show on KMOV-TV,  "Great Day St. Louis".   She was hired when the show first launched in 2008.   “After nearly three decades in radio, I had no idea what I was doing at first but I knew with the help of the talented staff and a few prayers, we would create a fun, informative show for St. Louisans!”   The 27-year veteran of broadcasting brings a wealth of experience to KMOV and KMOX. She was once a campaign organizer, a recruiter for the U.S. Census Bureau, and even worked as a substitute teacher!

Carol  began her career at the "Voice of St. Louis" in 1995 as an anchor, reporter and talk show host. Two weeks later, she moved to St. Louis and was working at KMOX.

Carol is a gifted motivational speaker who believes in the biblical verse, "To whom much is given, much is required." She also loves to write, having spent nearly ten years as a columnist.  Her national-award winning weekly column, "Carol's Journal" was featured in the award-winning St. Louis American Newspaper. And her monthly magazine column,  "Balancing Act" about life as a working mother, ran for several years in the Suburban Journals publication, "Savvy Family".

Carol has also been honored for her work by the National Newspaper Association, St. Louis Association of Black Journalists, The Missouri Broadcasters Association, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, the Monsanto YWCA and she was named to the YWCA Women's Leader Class of 2005. She also received the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. State Celebration Commission's Distinguished Local Media award.

Carol is deeply involved in her community, volunteering her time and efforts to numerous organizations.
