NEW YORK (AP) -- Jeremy Miller ended up with a drug problem, but he doesn't blame it on his life as a child star on "Growing Pains." Miller tells In Touch magazine that his problems didn't start until after the show was over. He says he started drinking to block "painful emotions" from family problems he was dealing with. At one point, he says he'd wake up and drink some malt liquor and by noon, he'd switch to hard alcohol. He says he'd drink all day, then black out at night. He says it was "absolutely horrible." Miller says he went to rehab when he realized his sons were scared to be around him. He says he's been clean more than two years.
