SUGARLAND'S JENNIFER NETTLES ORDERED TO TESTIFY IN APRIL
Credit: AP
INDIANAPOLIS (AP) -- A judge is ordering Jennifer Nettles to testify next month about what happened before the deadly Indiana State Fair stage collapse. She must give a deposition by April 15th. Her testimony will focus on whether Sugarland resisted delaying the start of their concert, even though bad weather was approaching. Sugarland is named in multiple lawsuits. Attorneys for the company that built the stage wanted Sugarland to testify starting this week. Sugarland wanted to wait until May, because they are launching their "In the Hands of the Fans" tour on April 5th. A Sugarland spokesman says the band "is aware of the judge's ruling and of course intends to cooperate."
