ST. LOUIS (KMOV) – Comedic movie stars Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis will be in St. Louis on Tuesday to help promote their newest film, “The Campaign.”

Ferrell and Galifianakis will be fake campaigning at Kiener Plaza at 6 p.m. as part of a Whistle Stop Tour.

In the film, the actors star as opponents running for a seat in the United States Congress. The two will reportedly appear in character doing the usual campaign cliches, like baby kissing and handshaking.

St. Louis Mayor Francis Slay’s office said the mayor will dub July 17 “Will and Zach Day” for the comedians’ visit.

Local sports teams, including the Cardinals, the Rams and the Blues, will also present Ferrell and Galifianakis with commemorative items.

The event is free and open to the public.

“The Campaign” opens in theaters August 10.
