(CBS News) -- "Skyfall," the new James Bond movie with Daniel Craig, has gotten another royal boost.
Prince William and Kate, Duchess of Cambridge, recently spent a date night watching the movie at their local Cineworld in Anglesey, Wales, according to reports in the British tabloids. Fellow moviegoers said the couple was dressed in jeans and shared popcorn as they watched the film, which got a royal premiere in London before it opened in U.K. theaters.
The prince's father, Prince Charles, and stepmother, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, attended the star-studded premiere on Oct. 23 at the Royal Albert Hall, along with stars Daniel Craig, Judi Dench and Javier Bardem. New Bond girls Naomie Harris and Berenice Marlohe were on hand as well.
Proceeds from that event went to charities that help members of Britain's intelligence services.
"Skyfall" is the 23rd official Bond film and Craig's third outing as 007. Dench plays spy chief M, battling a crisis with roots in her past, and Bardem is a villain bent on revenge.
Set to open Friday in the U.S., the Sam Mendes-directed movie has already broken box office records in the U.K.
