One Direction set to take over St. Louis Wednesday night

ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) – Some streets around the Edward Jones Dome will be closed Wednesday night as more than 54,000 teens are expected to attend the One Direction concert.

Starting at 7:00 a.m. Wednesday through 7:00 a.m. Thursday, Cole Street will be closed between 7th and Broadway. Starting at 10 a.m. and ending at midnight on Wednesday, Convention Plaza between 7th and Broadway will be closed.

Parents wanting to drop their children off for the concert will be permitted in the west lane of Broadway, but vehicle standing or parking will be prohibited.

The doors to the concert will open at 5:30 p.m. and the concert is expected to last until 10:30 p.m.

During the concert, the St. Louis Convention & Visitors Commission will offer a special waiting lounge for parents in the plaza lobby starting at 5:00 p.m. and lasting until one hour after the concert ends. There will be restrooms, lots of seating, free WIFI and several televisions for parents to enjoy while in the waiting lounge. Access to the lounge will be through the west doors of the plaza entrance.
