LIL WAYNE: MAKES IT IN TO SEE THUNDER BEAT HEAT IN GAME 1 OF NBA FINALS
OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- Basketball fans hope the battle between the Miami Heat and the Oklahoma City Thunder will be as well-contested as the battle between the Thunder and Lil Wayne over courtside tickets for a game. You may remember that during the Western Conference finals, the rapper got upset when he couldn't score a pair of courtside seats to see the Thunder play. Lil Wayne even took to Twitter, complaining the team made him feel unwelcome -- and even hinted that racism might have been involved. For its part, the team simply said the rapper had to buy a ticket to get into the game like everybody else -- and they didn't have a courtside ticket to sell him. At one point, Kevin Durant and James Harden offered him tickets -- but the rapper says he felt "unwanted" in Oklahoma City. Apparently all's forgiven now. The team was able to shake free a pair of courtside seats -- and the rapper took them. And the Thunder won the first game of the best-of-seven finals.
