(KMOV) – Huey Lewis and the News will be coming to the Gateway City in June to headline ZOOFARI 2013 at the St. Louis Zoo.
The event will be held on Friday, June 21 from 7 p.m. to 12 a.m.
ZOOFARI is the zoo’s biennial black-tie fundraiser which party-goers can graze from more than 50 restaurants, caterers and bars. They can also bid on spectacular items at the silent auction and dance under the stars.
Chairing the event are Barbara Archer and Steven Schankman. Honorary chairs are Danny and Susan Ludeman.
Only those ages 21 and up will be allowed in. Individual reservations are $225 for the general public and $175 for Zoo Friends members. Patron-level reservations are $1,000 per couple. Reserved tables of 10 are available for $3,500.
Proceeds from the event will help the zoo’s efforts to save endangered species.
Huey Lewis and the News are known for such hits as “The Power of Love,” “Heart and Soul” and “If This Is It.”
