(CBS News) -- Kate, Duchess of Cambridge, dazzled in a beautiful little black dress on Thursday while attending the SportsAid charity dinner at Victoria Embankment Gardens in London.

Kate, 31, donned a lace Temperley dress, pairing it with a red clutch and Jimmy Choo black pumps. According to the U.K.’s Telegraph, the dress sold out online by Thursday.

While at the event, the Duchess of Cambridge met with Olympic stars including Amy Williams and Dame Tanni Grey-Thompson. She also chatted with Anna Watkins, an Olympic gold medalist rower.

Prince William did not accompany Kate to the gala. Kate is a patron of SportsAid, which helps athletes get financial support early in their careers.
